Quick Start
Preliminary documentation. This product is in pre-launch preview; specifications and commands may change before shipping.
Get from sealed box to first move in about 20 minutes.
The arm ships assembled and calibrated. You only need to mount it, connect power and USB, and home it.
1. What's in the box
| Item | Qty |
|---|---|
| SCARA arm (pre-assembled, calibrated) | 1 |
| ESP32-S3 controller in enclosure | 1 |
| 24 V 120 W power adapter + plug set | 1 |
| Two-finger servo gripper | 1 |
| USB-C cable, emergency-stop button | 1 each |
| Desk mounting plate + M5 hardware | 1 set |
2. Mount the arm
- Fix the mounting plate to the desk with the four M5 screws, or clamp it at the table edge. The arm can tip over at full reach if it is not mounted.
- Place the arm base on the plate and tighten the three captive screws.
- Keep a clear circle of 300 mm radius around the base.
3. Wire it up
- Plug the arm's 16-pin cable into ARM on the controller.
- Plug the emergency-stop button into E-STOP. The controller will not enable the motors until it is connected and released.
- Connect the 24 V adapter, then USB-C to your computer.
4. Home and first move
Open any serial terminal at 115200 baud, then send:
G28 ; home J1, J2, Z and R — takes about 15 s
G0 X200 Y0 Z50
G0 X150 Y120 Z20 R45
M3 S80 ; close gripper
M5 ; open gripper
The controller replies ok after each line. Coordinates are in millimetres,
measured from the centre of the base; R is in degrees.
