Policy Updates
- Shandong Province’s Document No. 136 Implementation Details: The feed-in tariff for existing projects is set at 0.3949 CNY/kWh for market participation starting from June. On May 7, the Shandong Provincial Development and Reform Commission published the draft for the Market-Oriented Reform of New Energy Feed-in Tariffs and the Implementation Rules for Market Pricing of New Energy Mechanisms. According to the draft, existing new energy projects that commence operation before May 31, 2025, will participate in market trading at a mechanism price of 0.3949 CNY/kWh (including tax).
- Yunnan Province: Support for “Highway + Photovoltaics”: On April 29, the Yunnan Provincial Government issued a notice regarding policies to promote the integrated development of highways and photovoltaics. The document states that highway operating units should lead the preparation of construction plans for “Highway + Photovoltaics,” which must be approved by the relevant provincial departments.
- Jiangsu Province: Commercial Users to Implement Off-Peak Electricity Pricing: Recently, Jiangsu’s Development and Reform Commission announced an expanded time-of-use pricing structure for commercial and industrial users.
