ASCO Achieves Impressive Solar Energy Output at Bibiheybat Yard

ASCO

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 21, 2025 — The solar panels installed at the Bibiheybat Ship Repair Yard, operated by ASCO, a subsidiary of AZCON Holding, have generated over 66,215 kilowatt-hours of electricity since their installation in October 2024, according to ASCO (Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company). In May 2025 alone, the panels produced more than 18,454 kilowatt-hours, with peak daily generation reaching nearly 800 kilowatt-hours on certain days.

This initiative has resulted in a significant environmental impact, preventing 65,946 kilograms of carbon dioxide emissions, which is equivalent to the preservation of 3,638 trees. Furthermore, the solar panels have contributed to the conservation of 26,457 kilograms of coal, thereby reducing dependence on fossil fuels for energy production. The solar array covers an area of 512 square meters and consists of 162 panels, each with a capacity of 690 watts.
