On May 11, it was reported that UBTECH Robotics, known as the “first stock of humanoid robots,” has officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Hitachi (China) Co., Ltd.. Under this agreement, both parties will engage in deep collaboration in various sectors including elevators, building systems, healthcare, industrial equipment, and semiconductor manufacturing equipment. This partnership aims to leverage UBTECH’s technological advantages in humanoid robotics alongside Hitachi’s expertise in smart manufacturing and system integration to develop intelligent solutions suitable for diverse production scenarios.
Currently, the collaboration has entered a phase of substantial verification. Hitachi has introduced UBTECH’s industrial-grade humanoid robot, Walker S2, into specific manufacturing environments, working together to advance on-site operational testing and application scenario validation. Focusing on the intelligent manufacturing of elevators, the Hitachi China Research Institute, in conjunction with UBTECH and Hitachi Elevators, is conducting in-depth secondary development of humanoid robot applications at Hitachi’s elevator manufacturing site.
Additionally, both parties plan to conduct joint research centered around the practical application and mass production of humanoid robots. This initiative aims to continually uncover new value in intelligent manufacturing settings, facilitating the transformation of China’s manufacturing industry towards greater intelligence and promoting the development of new productive forces.
