8 Million! The government has increased subsidies, tightening regulations!
On May 7, 2025, at 16:45, China Stone announced through the New Wave Financial APP that the recent policy changes have led to a series of subsidy adjustments aimed at electric vehicles and batteries. The adjustments could result in subsidies of up to 8 million yuan for electric vehicles and 4.2 million yuan for battery replacements!
The 2025 New Energy Vehicle Subsidy Policy is set to implement guidelines that will make these substantial subsidies available, particularly focusing on the upgrade of electric vehicles. For each new energy vehicle, there will be a standard subsidy of 8 million yuan, while for battery replacements, the subsidy will be 4.2 million yuan.
This subsidy program will continue until December 31, 2025. Starting from December 31, 2017, the ongoing policies and conditions of the subsidy will be revised based on the operational realities of new energy vehicles. The electric vehicle sector is viewed as the “heart” of new energy vehicle development, which continues to grow rapidly.
In line with the recent policy adjustments, the demand for electric vehicles is expected to surge. The production capacity in the new energy vehicle sector is projected to reach 88% of the total production capacity by the end of 2024. The China Stone Institute has announced improvements in the integration of new technologies into the sector, ensuring that electric vehicles maintain high operational efficiency.
Furthermore, as part of the subsidy program, different types of batteries will be prioritized, focusing on the development of high-performance lithium batteries. The institute has established advanced production lines for these batteries, ensuring that electric vehicles receive the necessary enhancements to improve their range and safety features.
The focus remains on enhancing the safety and performance standards of electric vehicles, which are critical for sustainable development in the automotive industry.
China Stone Institute is also committed to expanding the applications of electric vehicle technology, ensuring that the sector keeps pace with global advancements. The new energy vehicle industry is expected to see significant growth, driven by the government’s commitment to green energy initiatives and the promotion of electric vehicles.
As we move forward, the electric vehicle market is set to expand rapidly, signaling a new era for sustainable transportation in China and beyond.
