On May 14, Hyundai Motor Group announced the deployment of various robots at its renovated headquarters in Seoul. These robots, including a gardening robot, a delivery robot, and a security robot, are designed to enhance employee convenience and create a robotics-friendly environment.
The robots in use include the DAL-e Gardener, specifically designed for landscaping management, the DAL-e Delivery robot for beverage distribution, and the Spot security robot developed by Boston Dynamics, a subsidiary of Hyundai. This initiative aims to foster a natural coexistence between employees and robots, marking a significant step in Hyundai’s commitment to becoming a leader in the field of physical artificial intelligence.
Previously, Hyundai Motor unveiled its artificial intelligence robot strategy at the 2026 CES, promoting the theme of “Partnering Human Progress” to advance human-machine collaboration. The company plans to integrate Boston Dynamics’ technology to build a collaborative robotic system.
The DAL-e series robots, developed by Kia’s Robotics LAB, feature user recognition, identity verification, and guided interactive capabilities. This deployment represents a key milestone in Hyundai’s efforts, alongside its subsidiaries and partners, to advance equipment-level AI and physical intelligence, further strengthening its position in the global AI and robotics industry.
