The Digital China Construction Summit experience area is now open at the Fuzhou Strait International Conference and Exhibition Center, specifically in halls 1, 2, 3, 4, and 9. The area is accessible to professional visitors on April 28 and the afternoon of April 29 (it will not be open on the morning of April 29), and will be available to the public from April 30 to May 4.
At the summit’s experience area, visitors can witness an array of exciting digital technology achievements. Highlights include robots preparing meals at the “Robot Canteen,” robots dancing with the summit’s mascot “Shuwawa,” and a captivating performance of “A Song of the Vast Ocean” through human-robot collaboration.
The mascot “Shuwawa” and robots join forces in a lively dance. This year, robots are undeniably the stars of the tech scene, frequently showcasing their talents on the Spring Festival Gala stage. At the summit, the presence of the “robotic team” is unmistakable, with “Shuwawa” engaging dynamically with the robots.
The welcoming display in the lobby of the Fuzhou Strait International Exhibition Center features a striking design. At its center is the main visual identity of the summit, “Shu,” flanked by robotic arms waving dynamic light boxes that showcase the summit’s theme, creating a cool scene of “Shuwawa” dancing with robots.
The “Robot Canteen” is a standout attraction. Inside the China Mobile experience area, all staff members are robots, fulfilling roles from chef to waiter and even barista. During a visit, robots were spotted busy preparing meals, with hot seaweed rice balls and aromatic lattes topping the menu.
How do these robots prepare a meal? According to staff, the canteen’s robots are equipped with “five-finger dexterous robotic hands,” which makes handling ingredients easy. The robots operate within an “intelligent interconnected ecosystem,” utilizing a cloud platform as their “smart brain.” This system oversees the entire process from order placement to meal preparation, ensuring timely delivery of delicious food to guests.
In addition to cooking, robots also deliver impressive musical performances. In the cultural experience area of Hall 4, a flowing “Min-Du Central Axis Digital Scroll” adorns the wall while a band performs nearby. This band features two humanoid robots among its four musicians: one plays the guzheng while masked with a scarf, and another is on the piano. As the music plays, a dancing robot captures the audience’s attention.
Staff noted that the collaboration between robots and humans in performances is a focus of their technical development. Currently, through programming, robots and humans can work together, each fulfilling their performance roles precisely. The music performed during this collaboration is “A Song of the Vast Ocean.”
Moreover, visitors can customize their own “little crayfish.” While navigating the experience area, you may be asked, “What kind of ‘crayfish’ do you want?” This refers to OpenClaw, an open-source AI intelligent agent software that has gained popularity due to its icon resembling a “little crayfish.” In the Tencent experience area, staff explained that participants can engage with an intelligent system, answering questions about their core needs, work challenges, preferred interaction styles with AI assistants, and essential safety standards to discover which “little crayfish” product suits them best.
