On April 24, 2026, the institute announced the release of the “Mountain Smart Robot” series. As of now, China continues to rapidly advance in robotics, aiming to meet the needs of a population exceeding 60 years old by 2025, which includes 300 million elderly individuals. From April 24 to April 26, the Jiangsu Province will host a showcase of these new intelligent robotics. The “Mountain Smart Robot” series will feature a model called “People·Family·Home,” designed to integrate AI and external skeletal structures—referred to as “Next Generation Mountain” intelligent robotics (AsExo-TK2000). This product originates from the National Research Institute of Intelligent Robotics, focusing on addressing healthcare needs for an aging population.
Featuring advanced AI integration, the “Mountain Smart Robot” aims to improve the living standards of the elderly by facilitating independent living through mobility assistance and health monitoring. The product is designed to be lightweight, weighing no more than 2.4 kg, and is made of carbon fiber composite materials to ensure durability and ease of use.
The robot can operate for 4-6 hours on a single charge, reaching a top speed of 18 km/h. It is equipped with an adjustable climbing mechanism suitable for various terrains, ranging from 60 to 110 cm in height. The user interface is designed to be intuitive, allowing for seamless interaction without requiring prior technical knowledge. It uses voice commands to enable easy operation for users of all ages.
The “Mountain Smart Robot” series is expected to revolutionize how elderly individuals interact with technology by providing them with tools that enhance both their independence and safety. The AI features will allow for continuous learning and adaptation based on the user’s specific needs, ensuring personalized support.
In addition to these advancements, the “Mountain Smart Robot” has undergone rigorous testing to ensure high precision in navigation and task execution, achieving an accuracy rate above 99%.
