The scale of industrial and commercial energy storage projects in 2024 is expected to reach 3.74 GW/8.2 GWh, representing a 72% year-on-year growth, maintaining a strong upward trend. In terms of equipment prices, the cost of integrated cabinets from leading brands has decreased from 1.5 yuan/Wh in mid-2023 to 0.6-0.7 yuan/Wh by early 2025, stabilizing further and encouraging investment enthusiasm.
Regarding market space, a total of 1,370 projects are expected to be operational in 2024, mainly in factory storage scenarios. Statistics indicate that Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Guangdong provinces will continue to show good growth rates in enterprise penetration for industrial and commercial storage projects.
In 2024, the Chinese energy storage industry demonstrated remarkable resilience and vigorous development in a complex market environment with intense competition, transitioning from price competition to a new track focused on value competition.
