Why a monitor arm that moves

Most people set their monitor up once and then spend eight hours adapting their neck to it. This arm does the opposite: a small depth sensor under the bezel estimates your head position a few times per second, and four quiet motors nudge the screen so it stays where ergonomists say it should be — top edge at eye level, 50–70 cm away, facing you squarely.

How it works

1. Sense — a ToF + low-resolution IR sensor tracks head position and shoulder line. Frames are processed on the arm's own microcontroller and discarded immediately.
2. Decide — a dead-band filter ignores small, short movements, so the screen doesn't chase you every time you reach for a coffee.
3. Move — belt-driven height and depth axes plus geared tilt/pan joints reposition the monitor at up to 20 mm/s, well below the speed you'd notice while reading.

Modes

• Follow — continuous tracking, the default.
• Posture nudge — the arm stays put but slowly tilts upward if you've been slouching for more than 20 minutes.
• Sit / stand presets — two saved positions, one tap on the base button.
• Manual — tracking off; the arm behaves like a normal gas-spring arm.

Open interfaces

The controller exposes a USB-C serial interface and a documented JSON command set, so you can script positions from your desktop or integrate it with a standing-desk controller.
