New Energy Vehicle Manufacturer Horizon Times has announced the launch of three new electric products, marking a significant step in the industry. This announcement was made during the 2025 National Energy Conference which took place on April 21st. The company introduced three new electric products, including a lead-acid battery and a 24V lithium-ion battery, along with next-generation batteries.
The new lead-acid battery is designed for two types of products: a battery for electric vehicles and a 24V integrated lithium battery, capable of functioning efficiently in temperatures ranging from -40°C to 70°C. “The energy density of the new lead-acid battery has reached 175Wh/kg, making it one of the highest among lead-acid batteries, especially when compared to lithium-ion batteries,” said a spokesperson for Horizon Times. The battery is targeted for electric vehicles, with a range exceeding 200 kilometers for pure electric vehicles and over 500 kilometers for hybrid models.
During the conference, Horizon Times also discussed plans to produce 10,000 electric vehicles in collaboration with companies like Longqi, Guangxi, and Dongfeng. These efforts are aimed at accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles. “The new 24V integrated lithium battery has an 8-year lifespan and reduces the total cost of ownership by 61%,” the spokesperson added.
The new generation of batteries is designed to enhance energy density by 60%, focusing on meeting diverse consumer demands. This includes various battery types, such as lithium-iron phosphate and iron-iron batteries. The company aims to develop innovative technologies that adapt to evolving market needs.
According to the latest sales data, in the first quarter of this year, national vehicle production reached 756.1 million units, with new energy vehicle production accounting for 318.2 million units, showing a growth of 50.4% compared to last year.
Looking forward, Horizon Times plans to release its second-generation electric vehicle battery by 2024. The company aims to continue driving growth in the electric vehicle sector with this new product line.
