Is the Hi-MO X10 photovoltaic module self-powered? The latest tests conducted by three major manufacturers on the Hi-MO X10 solar panel have provided definitive answers!
On September 26, 2025, LONGi Green Energy held a launch event for the Hi-MO X10 photovoltaic module. This event was certified by the National Solar Energy Quality Inspection and Testing Center (CPVT), which recognized the Hi-MO X10 as the first module to be rated as a “self-powered photovoltaic module.” This certification was achieved through a collaborative effort that included experts from the industry, module manufacturers, and testing agencies.
During the event, it was noted that the Hi-MO X10 has demonstrated significant performance advancements compared to traditional modules. The module achieved a temperature coefficient of around –0.35%/°C, which is notably superior to that of the TOPCon modules. In stability tests under high irradiation conditions, the Hi-MO X10 maintained a stable temperature coefficient, making it highly efficient even in extreme conditions.
Moreover, the performance degradation under standard testing conditions showed that the Hi-MO X10 had a degradation rate of only 10.15%, compared to 36.48% for TOPCon modules. This indicates a much higher efficiency and reliability in energy production.
In field tests, the Hi-MO X10 performed exceptionally well. In environments with 1000W/m² irradiance, it recorded a stable output rate of 72°C, whereas the TOPCon modules averaged 72.5°C. The Hi-MO X10 also showed better performance in low-light conditions, outperforming TOPCon by 47.12% in similar environments.
At the event, LONGi emphasized the importance of performance data in evaluating the efficiency of new technologies. The Hi-MO X10’s output efficiency has been verified under various conditions, confirming its capabilities in real-world applications.
In summary, the Hi-MO X10 not only meets but exceeds the performance benchmarks set by its predecessors. The module’s consistent output under various conditions highlights its potential as a leading solution in the solar energy market.
