Huaneng Group has applied for a patent concerning the data monitoring of photovoltaic power station components, which aims to enhance the efficiency of component-level data oversight. According to information from the National Intellectual Property Administration, Huaneng (Jiayuguan) New Energy Co., Ltd. and China Huaneng Group Clean Energy Technology Research Institute filed a patent titled “Method and System for Component-Level Data Monitoring of Photovoltaic Power Stations,” with publication number CN 119787612 A and an application date of November 2024.

The patent abstract indicates that the application relates to the field of data monitoring technology. It outlines a method that includes initializing clock synchronization and constructing a network topology for the component-level data monitoring system to establish a target time reference and data acquisition network. The method also involves adaptively configuring parameters for the photovoltaic component voltage acquisition module to obtain settings for component-level data collection. Following this, the method allows for multi-channel synchronized sampling of photovoltaic component voltage signals, resulting in raw voltage data.

These raw voltage data undergo local preprocessing and compression encoding to produce compressed data packets. These packets are then transmitted and decoded through the data acquisition network, resulting in a multi-channel synchronized dataset. Finally, performance analysis and fault diagnosis are conducted on the synchronized dataset to generate a component-level monitoring report. This innovative approach improves the efficiency of data monitoring for photovoltaic power stations.

According to data from Tianyancha, Huaneng (Jiayuguan) New Energy Co., Ltd. was established in 2021 and is based in Jiayuguan City. The company primarily engages in the production and supply of electricity and heat, with a registered capital of 200 million RMB and a paid-in capital of 36 million RMB. Analysis from Tianyancha reveals that the company has participated in 88 bidding projects and holds 128 patents, in addition to having 13 administrative licenses.
