On May 22, the project was formally announced at a ceremony in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, highlighting its significance in promoting sustainable energy. The project will feature a total investment of 10.05 billion yuan and is expected to begin construction this year. The first phase of electricity generation is scheduled for completion on May 15, 2023, with subsequent trials planned.

The total electricity generation capacity from this project is projected to reach 3.67 billion kilowatt-hours annually, which is equivalent to the carbon offset of approximately 23 million tons of CO2 emissions.
