
On May 29, 2025, the China Construction Group will launch the 8.53 GW hydroelectric power station at the Huangshan Airport project site, located in Huangshan City, Anhui Province. The primary goal of this project is to integrate the airport’s operations with surrounding water resources management.
The construction plan includes the development of facilities to support the airport’s water resource management, ensuring a comprehensive approach to environmental sustainability. This hydroelectric power station is designed to significantly enhance the green energy capacity of the region.
Once operational, the project is expected to reduce carbon emissions by more than 300,000 tons annually. It aims to establish a green energy model that aligns with national goals for carbon neutrality and sustainable development.
