Humanoid Robots! The first national-level standard system in my country is set to be released, accelerating the approach to critical points in the industry.

On February 28, 2026, at 18:26, the China Federation of Financial and Economic APP reported the following. On the same day, a meeting was held in Beijing regarding humanoid robots and artificial intelligence standards (HEIS). This meeting also marks the first annual conference of the Industry and Information Technology Department concerning humanoid robots and the corresponding AI standards committee, abbreviated as “Standards Committee”.

The conference officially released the “Humanoid Robot and Artificial Intelligence Standard System (2026 Version)”. This is the first national-level standard system for humanoid robots, which will serve as a design benchmark for the industry chain and enhance product quality and safety regulations.

The standard system consists of six parts: basic requirements, classification and intelligence, physical structure and components, functional and system requirements, application, and safety specifications. It covers a broad range of intelligent capabilities, including perception, communication, and interaction.

Moving forward, the Standards Committee will collaborate with governmental agencies, industry leaders, educational institutions, and research institutions to promote high-quality development in the humanoid robot sector.

As we approach the future, humanoid robots are expected to play significant roles in various applications, including healthcare, education, and personal assistance. By 2025, the production of humanoid robots is projected to exceed 46 billion yuan, with an estimated quantity reaching 20,000 units.

The rapid development of technology aims to create humanoid robots that are not only functional but also integrate seamlessly with human environments. Innovations in this field will lead to new standards and benchmarks, ensuring that products meet stringent requirements for quality and safety.

In summary, the humanoid robot industry is on the verge of a transformative leap, supported by newly established standards that will guide the development and application of these advanced technologies. Stakeholders are encouraged to engage with the standards set forth to foster collaboration and drive progress in this exciting field.
