China to Release New Electric Vehicle Product Code Regulations by April 2025

China

The latest statistics on China’s electric vehicle (EV) production will be released soon, according to New Wave Finance. On April 17, 2025, at 13:29, the Chinese Electric Vehicle Production Statistics Conference will be held. This announcement is part of the effort to enhance the management of EV production data.

The conference will also discuss the Product Statistics Regulation (DPP), which is set to be initiated on April 25, 2025. It aims to improve the statistics management of electric vehicle production in China, and the results will be published soon thereafter.

In conjunction with this, the Electric Vehicle Product Statistics Regulation Management Center will activate its monitoring system and release the Product Statistics Regulation (DPP) Technical Development Report (2025). The goal is to make the product statistics regulation a key element in promoting national trade facilitation.

In Europe, the Continuous Product Lifecycle Design Regulation is set to take effect in July 2024, focusing on the management of electric vehicle products, including electric buses and passenger cars with battery capacities exceeding 2 kWh. From February 2027 onwards, light-duty vehicle manufacturers will have to comply with DPP requirements.

As part of the ongoing efforts, a VIP service will be available through the New Wave Finance APP, allowing users to access the latest financial data and insights. The app will update with real-time reports and analysis on the market.

Additionally, in the latest updates regarding trade, there have been significant developments in the import and export sectors. As of early April 2025, the import volume of electric vehicles from the United States has increased substantially, with a growth rate of 64% compared to previous figures.

In summary, the upcoming conference and regulations are expected to enhance the management and statistical accuracy of electric vehicle production in China. These initiatives aim to bolster the country’s position in the global EV market and ensure compliance with international standards.
