The policies include guidelines on renewable energy construction, subsidies, BIPV (Building-Integrated Photovoltaics), and regulations. In April, 69 policies were issued by national and local authorities. Among these, the national government released 12 policies, while local governments issued 57 policies.
Provinces such as Anhui, Jiangsu, and Guangdong are leading in the number of new policies related to renewable energy. Notably, 25 provinces have introduced significant changes in their renewable energy policies. The policies aim to accelerate the deployment of solar energy, promote financial support, and enhance regulatory frameworks.
According to the April data, the policies focus on the following key areas:
- Renewable Energy Construction Standards: 9 policies were introduced, particularly emphasizing Jiangxi and Fujian provinces.
- Renewable Energy Subsidies: 2 policies focused on Jiangsu and Fujian provinces.
- BIPV Development: 3 policies aimed at promoting the integration of solar technologies in buildings, particularly in Henan and Guangdong provinces.
- Renewable Energy Project Management: 23 policies focused on project planning, construction, and land use.
The policies are expected to significantly impact the renewable energy landscape, with a collective target of generating 16.1 GW from various projects. The plan includes a substantial increase in solar power generation, with projections reaching 6 GW.
Furthermore, the analysis indicates that by 2025, the first batch of wind and solar projects is expected to begin, with a construction capacity of 700 million kilowatts, comprising 200 million kilowatts from wind energy and 500 million kilowatts from solar energy. By 2025, the second phase will include an additional 1,060 million kilowatts of capacity, with 760 million kilowatts from wind and 300 million kilowatts from solar energy.
In conclusion, these policies not only outline ambitious targets but also signify a shift towards a more sustainable energy future, demonstrating a commitment to enhancing energy security and promoting the use of renewable resources across the country.
