Single Cabin 7.58MWh! Zhongtian Technology New Energy Showcases the ENERGRID NA7 Liquid-Cooled Energy Storage System at ESIE 2025!
On April 10, the 13th International Energy Storage Summit and Exhibition (ESIE 2025) grandly opened at the Beijing Capital International Exhibition Center. Zhongtian Technology New Energy Group unveiled the ENERGRID NA7 liquid-cooled energy storage system under the theme “Empowering the Full Chain, Green Future.” This launch marks Zhongtian’s entry into the international top tier of energy storage equipment, injecting strong momentum into the industry’s localization and showcasing breakthroughs in China’s energy storage technology driven by policy.
2025 is a critical year for China to achieve its carbon peak and carbon neutrality goals, as well as a pivotal period for the conclusion of the 14th Five-Year Plan and the planning of the 15th Five-Year Plan. The ENERGRID NA7 liquid-cooled energy storage system is a fully self-developed, modular solution designed for various applications, offering high safety, flexibility, and economic efficiency.

Seven Remarkable Breakthroughs

At the press conference, Mr. Fan Hongjun, Director of the Energy Storage R&D Department at Zhongtian Technology New Energy Group, emphasized that amidst the global energy transition, the rapid development of the energy storage industry is inevitable. Comprehensive planning is essential. The large-scale application of renewable resources enhances the flexibility and reliability of power systems and promotes the low-carbon transformation of the energy structure, calling for higher energy density, efficiency, and smarter energy storage solutions. Existing energy storage systems face challenges such as low voltage levels, high AC/DC conversion losses, and excessive land use, which have become pain points in the industry.
Zhongtian's solution is the ENERGRID NA7, a 20-foot container liquid-cooled energy storage system, achieving a single cabin capacity of 7.58MWh and integrating DC 2000V and AC/DC in a single design.

Key Features

Increased Energy Density: The system's energy density per unit area has been boosted by 51%. Through a three-dimensional design and modular integration, every inch of space is utilized with multiple functional attributes. The design employs folding and time-space reuse technologies, achieving quantum-level efficiency. The capacity of 7.58MWh is akin to fitting a “mini pumped storage power station” within a 20-foot container, saving 40% in land use compared to the previous 5MWh liquid-cooled storage container.

Enhanced Safety: The battery cells are fundamental to energy storage, and their safety is paramount. Zhongtian enhances the structural stability and thermal stability of LFP materials through multi-element doping. The use of thermally stable graphite for the anode reduces surface defects and mitigates thermal effects, effectively lowering the risk of thermal runaway while increasing energy density.

Breakthrough in AC/DC Integration: The newly developed 3S integrated PCS supports high-voltage DC 2000V access and seamless connection to AC, significantly enhancing conversion efficiency to over 99%. The embedded EMS system allows for millisecond-level mode switching.

Structural Innovation: The ENERGRID NA7 employs high-strength steel and optimized structural design through precise stress analysis, ensuring excellent resistance to pressure, torsion, and stacking loads, capable of withstanding earthquakes of up to magnitude 9.

Advanced Thermal Control: Maintaining optimal temperature is crucial for the safety and stability of battery cells. Zhongtian's advanced temperature control system enhances usable capacity and charge/discharge power while keeping temperature differences within 2°C, extending the overall lifespan of modules by over 30%.

Upgraded Safety Measures: Zhongtian prioritizes safety to prevent incidents. The battery detection system is linked with the fire protection system for real-time monitoring and response, equipped with tiered detection and extinguishing capabilities.
