Zhongqing Robotics has announced the publication of a patent related to the visual standing control of humanoid robots. According to the Qichacha APP, Shenzhen Zhongqing Robotics Technology Co., Ltd. recently applied for a patent titled “A Method for Visual Standing Control of Humanoid Robots and Humanoid Robots.” This patent aims to enhance the stability and success rate of standing actions in real-world scenarios.
The method outlined in the patent includes several steps: Upon receiving a triggering command for the humanoid robot to stand up, the robot’s standing control program is activated. The program retrieves the robot’s center of mass and the predetermined standing reference trajectories for multiple end effectors. It also accesses perception information about the surrounding environment that the humanoid robot has detected. Based on this information, the system assesses whether the surrounding terrain meets predefined support conditions.
When the terrain does not meet these conditions, the robot adjusts its standing reference trajectories for its center of mass and end effectors according to the surrounding perception information. This allows the humanoid robot to transition from a preset posture to a standing position on both feet.
