On February 14, 2026, Zhiyuan Robotics officially unveiled its next-generation full-size humanoid robot, the Expedition A3. According to exclusive reports, this model is set to enter mass production within 2026.
The Expedition A3 is designed to be a fully functional commercial robot, capable of performing complex movements such as aerial kicks, continuous flying kicks, and ground spinning maneuvers, demonstrating remarkable human-like motion abilities. In terms of hardware, the robot’s arm can support a load of up to 3kg, with a maximum end-effector speed of 2m/s. It features a pioneering embedded battery design within the torso and includes a dual-battery system, allowing for a maximum operational endurance of 8 hours on a full charge.
On the interaction front, the Expedition A3 is equipped with an upgraded multimodal interaction system that enables end-to-end voice communication without the need for activation keywords, allowing for natural conversations. This robot is primarily targeted at scenarios such as guided tours and entertainment performances. It supports high-frequency human-robot interaction needs and integrates with Zhiyuan’s Ling Chuang and Ling Xin platforms, offering open interfaces and compatibility with the Zhiyuan Lingqu OS and the ROS ecosystem.
Zhiyuan anticipates that the mass production of the Expedition A3 in 2026 will drive the commercialization and widespread adoption of humanoid robots, with plans to increase annual shipments to tens of thousands of units within the year.
In other news, customers recently encountered issues with “zombie stores” on the Taobao flash purchase platform, where delivery riders were unable to collect meals, leading to penalties for the riders despite reporting the problem. Meanwhile, the platform has launched a promotional activity to attract consumers, highlighting a contrast between its service governance and marketing strategies.
Additionally, the Qianwen app from Alibaba has topped the free app chart on the Apple App Store, while ByteDance’s Doubao has dropped to third place. Transsion Holdings, known as the “King of Africa,” forecasted a significant drop in profits for 2025, marking its worst financial performance since its listing.
Recent updates also include announcements of large-scale recruitment by ByteDance’s chip team, the launch of robot delivery services at Nanjing Airport by Meituan, and various new initiatives and product releases across the tech industry.
