Zhiyuan Robotics Prioritizes R&D Over Participation in Spring Festival Gala

ZhiYuan Robotics has announced that it will not participate in the 2026 Spring Festival Gala. According to sources familiar with the matter, the decision is due to budget constraints, prioritizing funding for the research and development of embodied intelligent technologies and products.

Recently, four humanoid robot companies, including Magic Atom, Galaxy General, Yushu Technology, and Sonyan Power, announced their participation in the upcoming Spring Festival Gala, where they plan to showcase their respective strengths. For instance, Galaxy General may emphasize the practical capabilities of its humanoid robots.

Reports indicate that the entry fee for humanoid robot companies to appear on the 2026 Spring Festival Gala stage starts at around ¥100 million. Leading companies like Yushu Technology and ZhiYuan Robotics recently surpassed ¥1 billion in annual revenue for 2025. Yushu Technology’s founder, Wang Xingxing, has publicly confirmed that the company’s annual revenue has exceeded ¥1 billion, while ZhiYuan Robotics’ Chairman and CEO, Deng Taihua, has also mentioned that ZhiYuan aims to achieve a shipment volume of 5,000 units and sales revenue of ¥1 billion in 2025.

The humanoid robot performance by Yushu Technology at the 2025 Spring Festival Gala garnered significant attention, positioning the company as a rising star in the first-tier market. Following the gala, Yushu Technology’s market popularity surged, leading to an IPO guidance completion by November 2025, with over 5,500 humanoid robots shipped that year.

The industry is keenly observing whether ZhiYuan Robotics will participate in the gala. However, insiders have revealed that ZhiYuan is currently preparing for the world’s first large-scale robotic gala, Robot Wonderful Night, which will feature hundreds of various robots showcasing singing, dancing, skits, and fashion shows, and will be live-streamed soon.

On December 31, 2025, ZhiYuan Robotics also launched the world’s first full-body force-controlled compact humanoid robot, QiYuan Q1, making significant breakthroughs in joint systems, overall size, and application scenarios, compressing the capabilities of a full-sized humanoid into a package smaller than a backpack.
