Zhejiang Chint Acquires Patent for Lightweight Photovoltaic Modules Enhancing Rigidity, Hardness, and Impact Resistance

Zhejiang

Zhengtai New Energy has secured a patent for a lightweight photovoltaic module, which enhances the rigidity, hardness, and impact resistance of photovoltaic components. According to information from the National Intellectual Property Administration, Zhengtai New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. was granted a patent titled “A Lightweight Photovoltaic Module,” with authorization announcement number CN 222764210 U, and the application date was June 2024.

The patent summary indicates that this utility model falls within the field of photovoltaic materials technology. Specifically, it introduces a lightweight photovoltaic module that consists of sequentially stacked components, including an organic front plate, a first encapsulation layer, a first grid reinforcement layer, a second encapsulation layer, a power generation module, a third encapsulation layer, a second grid reinforcement layer, a fourth encapsulation layer, and an organic back plate.

This new design is notably lightweight and incorporates fiberglass mesh materials internally, significantly improving the module’s rigidity, hardness, and impact resistance. Additionally, it boasts excellent thermal stability, effectively preventing issues such as deformation, warping, and creep that can occur when organic materials are subjected to heat.

According to data from Tianyancha, Zhengtai New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. was established in 2015 and is located in Jiaxing City. The company primarily focuses on research and experimental development, with a registered capital of 2.645 billion RMB. Tianyancha’s big data analysis shows that Zhengtai has invested in a total of 11 companies, participated in 390 bidding projects, and has 77 trademark registrations along with 662 patent filings. The company also holds 18 administrative licenses.
