Zeekr Unveils the World’s Two Fastest Charging EVs at Everything Electric Sydney

Zeekr, one of Australia’s newest electric vehicle brands, has made a significant impact at the Everything Electric show by introducing two remarkable models: the Zeekr 7X electric SUV, recognized as the world’s fastest-charging production EV, and the unique Zeekr Mix. These vehicles are set to be the main attractions at Zeekr’s exhibit, alongside other models such as the Zeekr 007 performance sedan, 001 FR, 009 people mover, and the practical premium SUV, the Zeekr X.

The Zeekr 7X and the Mix feature Zeekr’s innovative Golden battery technology, which enables a rapid charging capability, allowing the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in just over 10 minutes. This impressive performance has been validated by numerous independent EV enthusiasts.

The Zeekr 7X is currently available for order in Europe and is expected to reach Australia in the latter half of this year. It comes in three variants: a rear-wheel drive (RWD), a Long Range RWD, and a high-performance all-wheel drive (AWD) variant. The Performance AWD variant offers exhilarating acceleration, going from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds, a significant improvement compared to the RWD model, which achieves this in 6 seconds with the Golden battery.

In terms of battery specifications, the Zeekr 7X is equipped with a 75 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery pack. The Long Range variants feature a larger 100 kWh Nickel Manganese Cobalt (NMC) battery. When it comes to range, the RWD variant offers an impressive 480 km of WLTP range on a single charge, while the Long Range RWD extends that to 615 km. The Performance AWD variant has a range of 543 km.

Designed for comfort, performance, and practicality, the Zeekr 7X includes a wealth of clever storage solutions, boasting 32 separate compartments and 616 liters of boot space.

The Zeekr Mix is also making its Australian debut at the event, showcasing some of the most innovative features seen in an electric vehicle to date. This model includes super-fast charging capabilities, swivel seats, and a design that eliminates traditional B-pillars, rethinking the way we utilize cars. Derived from a Robotaxi concept developed for Google’s Waymo program, the Mix will be unveiled in Australia in the coming days.

As a blend of SUV and people mover, the Mix features rapid charging technology that can charge the vehicle from 10% to 80% in just 10.5 minutes, making it the fastest charging option available locally. This makes it an ideal choice for adventurous families on the road. A standout feature of the Mix is its industry-first 1.48-meter wide entrance door, achieved through a dual sliding door design that conceals the B-pillar, enhancing access to the cabin.

Additionally, the Mix incorporates two ultra-high-strength steel pillars made from 2000 megapascal hot-formed steel, providing 30% more strength than conventional hot-formed steel, thus ensuring a high level of safety for passengers.

Inside, the innovation continues with seats that can swivel to face passengers, transforming the EV into a family-friendly vehicle. The Mix is available in China in two variants, including a rear-wheel drive powertrain that delivers 310 kW of power and 440 Nm of torque, enabling it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds. This base model features a 76 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery, providing a CLTC range of up to 550 km, with fast charging capabilities from 10% to 80% in just 10.5 minutes.

All models, including the Zeekr 7X, Mix, 001 FR, and 007 performance sedan will be displayed in left-hand-drive configurations, turning heads with their unique designs in the Australian EV landscape. Zeekr will also offer test drives of select models at the Everything Electric event, taking place from March 7 to 9 at Sydney Olympic Park.
