On October 4, 2025, at the Brussels World Bus Expo, Yutong Bus (SHA: 600066), a leading global manufacturer of electric buses, unveiled its “Vehicle-Battery Co-lifetime” technology. The company showcased several high-end fully electric buses, new energy solutions, and the Link+ fleet management system, all under the theme “Think Eco, Move Green.”
The Brussels Bus Expo is the largest and most historic professional exhibition in the bus sector, featuring 560 exhibitors from over 40 countries. This year’s focus was on zero-emission models, particularly electric buses, which took center stage for many brands.
During the event, Yutong received an impressive seven awards, acknowledging its performance in vehicle performance, safety, and environmental sustainability. The Yutong U15 won the prestigious “Grand Award Bus” for Best Bus of the Year, with Daimler’s ECITARO and EBUSCO 3.0 taking second and third places, respectively. Additionally, the U15 was honored with the “Label of Excellence Safety Bus,” “Label of Excellence Ecology Bus,” and “Label of Excellence Design Bus,” showcasing its status as a benchmark product in high-end urban public transport. The Yutong T14E received the “Grand Award Coach” for Best Coach of the Year, while Daimler’s SETRA S 515 HD and Yutong IC12E were awarded second and third places. The IC12E also garnered the “Label of Excellence Ecology Coach” for its environmental credentials. Furthermore, Yutong’s Link+ fleet management system was awarded the “Busworld Digital Award” gold medal, while ZF’s BUS CONNECT and BOSCH’s SECURE CENTRAL GATEWAY received silver and bronze medals, respectively.
At the exhibition, Yutong introduced four models of fully electric buses designed for various applications, including urban trunk transport, intercity travel, and high-end passenger tourism, highlighting the core competitiveness of its high-end products. The 14-meter ultra-luxurious electric tourist coach, T14E, offers battery options of 621/704 kWh, achieving a maximum range of 850 kilometers. It features 61 seats, an 8.5 m³ luggage compartment, a 360° surround sound system, and an NFC digital key for enhanced comfort and smart experience. The chassis employs CDC shock absorption technology combined with air suspension for intelligent adaptive adjustments during travel, and includes an accessibility lift to assist passengers with limited mobility.
The IC12E, a professional intercity electric bus, made its global debut at the expo, equipped with next-generation high-energy batteries. Under SORT2 conditions, it demonstrates exceptional energy consumption of just 0.67 kWh/km, with a range of up to 675 kilometers and a maximum climbing capacity of 25%. The vehicle supports dual-gun high-power liquid-cooled charging technology, allowing single-gun charging at 700A and dual-gun charging at 1400A, enabling a quick charge from 12% to full in just 1.2 hours. The 15-meter flagship urban bus, U15, offers a maximum range of 850 kilometers under SORT2 conditions and can carry up to 90 passengers. It features the Link+ fleet management system for real-time visualization of operational data, providing safer and more efficient solutions for urban public transport. Also showcased were the ultra-long-range electric double-decker buses, U11DD and U12, further diversifying Yutong’s product offerings in the European market.
Alongside its diverse product matrix, Yutong launched the “Vehicle-Battery Co-lifetime” technology, addressing industry concerns about the full lifecycle value of electric buses. As electrification remains a mainstream trend, public attention has turned to battery safety and vehicle reliability. Yutong has achieved breakthroughs in its core technologies—batteries, motors, and electronic controls—leading to a design lifespan of 15 years or 1.5 million kilometers, fulfilling its “Vehicle-Battery Co-lifetime” goal. This technology can help operators reduce lifecycle operating costs by 4% to 5%, while also contributing to emissions reduction, resource savings, and circular economy benefits.
Yutong has extended its technical advantages to operational and service aspects, creating an end-to-end solution that covers the entire lifecycle of vehicles, including smart connectivity, efficient charging, and service guarantees. The Link+ fleet management system offers an integrated solution for management, utilization, maintenance, and repair, aiding operators in reducing costs and increasing efficiency. Yutong’s EnRoute+ service brand supports eight core commitments, encompassing service network and parts support. The company has established a parts distribution center in France, along with 16 front warehouses, forming a two-tier parts support system in Europe. Currently, Yutong has set up 32 authorized service stations across Europe, employing approximately 90 professional service personnel to provide diverse service models, including bundled, touring, and on-site services, to meet varying operational needs.
From the research and development of new energy technologies and product manufacturing to comprehensive lifecycle services, Yutong consistently internalizes the mission of “creating greater value for society” as its core driving force. Going forward, Yutong will continue to drive innovation for better transportation, fulfilling its commitments to global customers through leading products and system solutions while actively practicing corporate social responsibility.
