The Dianlao Green Energy Cooperation Conference and the Yunnan Green Energy Industry Promotion Conference were recently held in Vientiane, Laos. This event, organized by the Green Energy Industry Association of Yunnan Province, aimed to foster collaboration in the green energy sector.
More than 70 representatives from various government bodies and enterprises, including the Lao Ministry of Energy and Mines, the Lao-China Cooperation Committee, the Yunnan Commercial Representative Office in Laos, and China Southern Power Grid Company, gathered to discuss plans for green energy cooperation.
During the conference, Anusa, the Director of the Energy and Mines Research Institute of the Lao Ministry of Energy and Mines, delivered a keynote speech on the development of alternative energy in Laos, providing valuable insights for collaborative discussions. Kang Peng, Deputy Director of the Office of the Lao-China Cooperation Committee, presented a comprehensive overview of the business environment and favorable investment policies in Laos, helping Chinese enterprises gain a clearer understanding of investment opportunities in the country.
In the promotion segment, numerous companies shared their experiences from various perspectives, including technological advancements, engineering projects, and manufacturing capacity. This not only showcased the comprehensive strength and innovative potential of the Yunnan green energy industry but also offered important practical insights for the development of Laos’s renewable energy sector.
This conference served as a platform for Yunnan enterprises to explore international markets and injected new momentum into green energy cooperation between Yunnan and Laos. It is expected to facilitate the implementation of green energy projects and support Laos in making significant progress towards its goal of becoming the “Battery of Southeast Asia.”
