
The Dianlao Green Energy Cooperation Conference and the Yunnan Green Energy Industry Promotion Conference were recently held in Vientiane, Laos. This event was organized by the Yunnan Provincial Green Energy Industry Association and attracted over 70 representatives from government and businesses, including officials from the Laos Ministry of Energy and Mines, the Laos-China Cooperation Committee, the Yunnan Provincial Business Representative Office in Laos, and the China Southern Power Grid Company.
During the conference, Anusa, the Director of the Laos Energy and Mining Research Institute, delivered a keynote speech on the development of alternative energy in Laos, providing valuable guidance for collaboration. Kang Peng, Deputy Director of the Laos-China Cooperation Committee Office, presented a comprehensive overview of Laos’ business environment and favorable investment policies, giving Chinese enterprises a clearer understanding of investing in Laos.
In the promotional segment, numerous companies shared insights from their technical expertise, project experiences, and manufacturing capacities, showcasing the comprehensive strength and innovative vitality of Yunnan’s green energy industry. Their presentations also offered significant practical experience to aid in the development of Laos’ new energy sector.
This conference established a platform for Yunnan enterprises to explore opportunities abroad and injected new momentum into the green energy cooperation between Yunnan and Laos. It is expected to facilitate the implementation of green energy cooperation projects, helping Laos make substantial progress toward its goal of becoming the “battery of Southeast Asia.”
