Located in the Beijing-Tianjin Industrial New City Wuqing Development Zone, it has an estimated total investment of approximately 630 million RMB and covers an area of about 31 acres. Once operational by the end of this year, it is expected to achieve an annual electricity purchase and sale volume of 220 million kWh, generating approximately 90 million RMB in annual output value and around 5 million RMB in annual tax revenue.
0.832 RMB/Wh! Xinyuan Environmental’s Subsidiary Plans to Invest in 18MW/55MWh Energy Storage Station
On the evening of April 27, Xinyuan Environmental announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Chuzhou Jiachu Technology Co., Ltd., plans to invest in and construct an 18MW/55MWh energy storage station in collaboration with Fengyang Chint Solar Technology Co., Ltd. The total planned investment is 45.75 million RMB, which translates to a unit price of 0.832 RMB/Wh.
350MW/1750MWh! Heilongjiang Jinen Ba Qing Compressed Air Energy Storage Demonstration Project Construction Begins
On April 27, the groundbreaking ceremony for the 350MW/1750MWh compressed air energy storage demonstration project was held in Juba Village, Qixingpao Town, Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province. This project is a national demonstration project that employs an artificial cavern gas storage system and aims to utilize local geological resources effectively. The project includes a planned construction of a 350MW/1750MWh compressed air energy storage facility and a 6MW/1.5MWh flywheel hybrid energy storage power peak-shaving and frequency-regulating station, with a compression duration of 7 hours and a power generation duration of 5 hours.
7.5MWh Energy Storage Project at Jiangsu Taizhou Shipyard Completes Equipment Debugging
On April 25, Shanghai Shenqin Xinneng Technology Co., Ltd. announced that the 7.5MWh energy storage project, built in cooperation with the Southern Telecom Design Institute at Jiangsu Taizhou Shipyard, has successfully completed equipment debugging. It is scheduled to officially operate by mid-May 2025. This project is part of a larger 20MWh energy storage initiative at the shipyard and employs two sets of 3.75MWh container solutions that integrate high-safety lithium iron phosphate batteries and intelligent thermal management systems. This setup is designed to flexibly adapt to fluctuations in power demand at the shipyard, providing stable and efficient energy management support for high-energy consumption scenarios.
Hainan’s First Independent Shared Energy Storage Station Now Operational
Hainan’s first independent shared energy storage station, the Nanfang Storage Company Lingao Zhenjin Energy Storage Station, began operations on April 28. The station enhances the energy storage development forms within Hainan’s new power system and supports the construction of a clean energy island. With a capacity of 20MW/40MWh, it started operating at full capacity in late February and officially launched after performance testing in late April. The station is equipped with four independent energy storage systems that can accept grid dispatch. Based on calculations of two charging and discharging cycles per day, the station can adjust 58.4 million kWh of electricity annually, equivalent to the annual electricity needs of 26,000 residents on the island.
Haier New Energy’s 1.044MWh Commercial Energy Storage Station Connected to the Grid
On April 27, Haier New Energy officially completed the grid connection of a 1.044MWh energy storage station for Guangzhou Yingnaier Cosmetics Co., Ltd. This project exemplifies Haier New Energy’s commitment to promoting green and low-carbon development within the cosmetics industry in Guangdong. It adopts a contract energy management model, allowing the electricity-consuming enterprise to share the benefits of peak shaving and valley filling to reduce electricity costs during peak periods, thus achieving both economic and environmental benefits.
1.075MWh User-Side Energy Storage Project in Taicang Now Operational
On April 27, the 1.075MWh user-side energy storage project invested by Shanghai Zinia New Energy in Taicang successfully connected to the grid.
