
Wanhua Chemical and ElevenEs Sign Strategic Agreement for Battery Materials: Collaboration to Establish a Localized Supply Chain of Battery Cathode Materials in Europe
MEISHAN, China, June 5, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Wanhua Chemical Battery Technology Co., Ltd. (referred to as “Wanhua Chemical”) has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with ElevenEs, a leading European manufacturer of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries, in Meishan, Sichuan. The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Wang Xiaoxing, General Manager of Wanhua Chemical, and Mr. Nemanja Mikać, Founder and CEO of ElevenEs.
This collaboration aims to establish a comprehensive partnership that encompasses both supply and technical aspects, focusing on products such as LFP cathode materials, PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) binders, NMP (N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone) solvents, and more. The goal is to promote sustainable development in the new energy sector for both companies.
Wanhua Chemical brings decades of experience in process development and engineering research, along with its industrial chain advantages. The company has created an integrated battery material platform that includes technology development for battery materials, equipment processing technology development, and battery cell application research. Additionally, Wanhua has established a complete technical platform for cathode and anode materials, binders, and solvents.
Under the terms of the agreement, the two parties will cooperate on LFP and other high-quality raw materials and form a joint technical team. They will exchange technical and market information to accelerate product and market development. Wanhua Chemical plans to use its production bases and global supply chain to support ElevenEs’ battery production in Serbia.
