Recently, the State Administration for Market Regulation issued a new batch of vehicle recall notices. Here are the details:
Mercedes-Benz (China) Automotive Sales Co., Ltd. is recalling a portion of its imported G-Class vehicles. In compliance with the requirements of the Regulations on the Recall of Defective Automotive Products and the Implementation Measures for the Regulations on the Recall of Defective Automotive Products, the company has filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation.
Recall Number: S2025M0089V. Starting from May 30, 2025, a total of 1,715 imported G-Class vehicles manufactured between April 2, 2024, and October 11, 2024, will be recalled. Some vehicles within this recall range may experience a software deviation in the Electronic Stability Program (ESP) control unit. In the event of a hardware failure in the ESP system, the warning information displayed on the instrument panel may not be accurate, thereby failing to meet national standards.
Mercedes-Benz (China) Automotive Sales Co., Ltd. will provide a free software upgrade for the ESP control unit through authorized Mercedes-Benz dealers for the vehicles included in the recall. The company will notify affected vehicle owners of this recall via registered mail and other means.

Beam Automobile Co., Ltd. is recalling a portion of its domestically produced electric vehicles. In accordance with the Regulations on the Recall of Defective Automotive Products and the Implementation Measures for the Regulations on the Recall of Defective Automotive Products, the company has submitted a recall plan to the State Administration for Market Regulation.
Recall Number: S2025M0083V. Effective immediately, the recall includes 55 domestically produced MINI COOPER vehicles manufactured between June 1, 2024, and August 17, 2024, and 15 domestically produced MINI ACEMAN vehicles manufactured from January 10, 2024, to September 18, 2024. The vehicles in the recall range may have issues with the production process of the power battery, potentially causing a misalignment of the positive and negative electrodes in some cells, leading to excessive self-discharge. In extreme cases, this may result in overheating of the power battery, posing safety risks.
Beam Automobile Co., Ltd. will replace the problematic battery modules free of charge for the vehicles involved in the recall to eliminate safety concerns. The company will notify relevant users through connected driving messages, registered mail, and other methods.
