On March 24, 2026, Taiwanese electric bicycle brand SEic has partnered with Delta Electronics to engage in cross-disciplinary technical collaboration. Following SEic’s acquisition of the classic German brand Urban Drivestyle (UD), the company has successfully introduced Taiwanese design aesthetics into international markets, including Japan, France, and Australia. This collaboration further combines Delta’s extensive technical expertise in power drive and system integration to launch the UDX concept bike, setting a new benchmark for Taiwanese brands in the global smart mobility sector.
The UDX concept bike features an innovative coaxial mid-mounted motor that is seamlessly integrated into the frame. This design incorporates Delta’s latest coaxial motor technology, which utilizes patented precision techniques to embed a high-performance, complex structure within the motor, hidden from view. This not only maintains a stylish aesthetic but also ensures balanced and stable weight distribution.
Equipped with the Gen2 smart power system, the bike includes precision sensors capable of detecting pedal force within milliseconds, addressing common issues of lag or abrupt power delivery often seen in traditional electric bicycles. Whether starting from a stoplight or tackling inclines, the system provides immediate and precise assistance, significantly enhancing the rider’s power while offering an exceptionally smooth and natural riding experience.
In addition to pursuing technology and speed, SEic and Delta are committed to implementing sustainability in everyday life. The two brands plan to develop a dedicated app that not only features smart anti-theft and navigation functions but also includes ESG carbon reduction calculations. Every ride record will be automatically converted within the app to reflect carbon savings. For instance, “Riding 20 kilometers this week is equivalent to planting a tree for the planet.” This initiative transforms environmental protection from a distant slogan into a tangible sense of achievement for every rider.

Regarding the newly introduced mid-mounted motor system, SEic emphasizes that it complements existing hub motor products:
- Hub Motor System (Classic Model): Remains the preferred choice for urban commuting and leisure, providing stable power output and lower maintenance costs. SEic will continue to offer high-quality hub bike services to the public.
- Mid-mounted Motor System (Concept Model): High torque design benefits off-road enthusiasts, climbers, and speed seekers. The Delta Gen2 mid-motor provides up to 100Nm of torque (compared to the typical 40-50Nm in standard models), and its coaxial patented structure is compact and easy for riders to replace, meeting the needs of in-depth explorers.
