Trina Solar has announced that it will allocate the remaining 1.7 billion yuan of its fundraising efforts to a new initiative titled “Distributed Smart Photovoltaic Power Station Construction Project.” This decision was made public on January 23, 2026.
The company plans to reduce the investment amount for its previous project, the 35GW Monocrystalline Pulling Project, and will no longer pursue the 15GW Phase II Project. The newly proposed project is expected to be completed and operational by the end of 2026.
The company stated that this adjustment is aimed at enhancing the efficiency of fund utilization, optimizing resource allocation, and reinforcing its market position. Importantly, they assured that this change will not adversely affect the company’s normal operations.
This matter will require approval from the company’s shareholders and bondholders before it can be implemented.
