Tigo Energy Showcases Total Quality Solar at Intersolar 2025 for New and Revamped Residential Installations

Tigo Energy, Inc. (NASDAQ: TYGO), a leading provider of intelligent solar and energy software solutions, will be presenting its latest software enhancements at Intersolar North America 2025. These improvements aim to streamline the installer experience, exemplified by EnergyAid’s successful repowering of thousands of legacy solar systems.

On February 20, 2025, Tigo announced that it has significantly reduced the average system commissioning time by one hour, decreased the number of manual steps required, and enhanced installer self-sufficiency. The company will also be highlighting the accomplishments of EnergyAid, California and Arizona’s top-rated solar maintenance and repair provider, which completed over 600 service appointments per week in 2024, servicing and repowering more than 12,000 solar systems.

The enhancements made by Tigo focus on improving the design, installation, and commissioning processes of its products. These developments were informed by insights gathered from numerous engagements through the Tigo Green Glove Service Program, reaffirming the company’s dedication to Total Quality Solar (TQS). Tigo has introduced a comprehensive library of how-to guides that cover the solar deployment process from unboxing to commissioning, alongside thirty-five core software enhancements that facilitate and speed up the installer workflow.

Key advancements in the Tigo EI Residential Solar Solution include:

  • Reduced installation and setup time: A more intuitive commissioning process minimizes manual steps, enabling installers to complete configurations efficiently and accurately, thus reducing post-commissioning time by an average of one hour.

  • Enhanced self-sufficiency for installers: Updates provide solar professionals with tools and resources that simplify system deployment and troubleshooting.

  • Seamless system optimization: The improved software ensures better system performance and reliability, aligning with Tigo’s overarching TQS initiative.

Tigo highlights EnergyAid as a model for reviving and repowering aging solar systems. As more homeowners encounter issues with outdated DC inverters, EnergyAid steps in to replace inefficient or failing inverters with modern, flexible solutions that enhance system longevity and energy production. In 2024 alone, EnergyAid serviced over 12,000 solar systems, helping homeowners regain control of their solar investments. Unlike many companies that depend on subcontractors, EnergyAid employs and trains 45 service technicians to maintain consistent quality and expertise during each service call.

“As a residential solar maintenance and repair provider that completed 600 service appointments per week last year, we have witnessed firsthand how Tigo’s commitment to installer success translates into tangible improvements in the field,” stated Nick Sherman, CEO of EnergyAid. “While solar technology is mature, many systems installed over the past two decades are aging, and we see considerable opportunity in the repowering market. Recently, we facilitated over 100 inverter replacements with Tigo’s enhanced support, demonstrating a significant, real-world impact on system uptime, performance, and deployment speed.”

Attendees at Intersolar North America 2025, scheduled for February 25-27 in San Diego, will have the opportunity to experience how Tigo’s software transforms the solar installation and commissioning process. Tigo representatives will be available to discuss the enhancements made to commissioning, share insights from the Green Glove program, and explore how TQS principles are shaping the industry.

“A core principle of the TQS approach is to extend our commitment to quality beyond our company and towards our dedicated installers. During my visits with EnergyAid, I was impressed by the results of our collaboration,” remarked Jing Tian, Chief Growth and Revenue Officer at Tigo Energy. “With innovative companies like EnergyAid revitalizing legacy solar systems, our improved commissioning processes and expanded engagement programs for installers are equipping them with the most effective tools for success.”
