Tesla’s Latest Humanoid Robot Set to Start Mass Production by the End of 2026
On February 2, Tesla announced via their official Weibo account that the third generation of their humanoid robot is on the verge of being unveiled, with an expected annual production of one million units. According to sources within Tesla, the Model S/X production line at the Fremont factory in the United States will be converted into a production line for the humanoid robots, with mass production anticipated to begin by the end of 2026. The final goal is to achieve an annual production capacity of one million units.
The humanoid robot will feature a fully independent supply chain, with all components designed based on first principles. Consequently, the ramp-up period for mass production is expected to be longer than that of Tesla’s automotive products.
