On April 10, the 13th International Energy Storage Summit and Exhibition commenced at the Capital International Exhibition Center. TBEA New Energy showcased multiple innovative solar storage solutions, including their grid-forming string energy storage system.

This solution is designed to be safe and efficient, empowering the new power system. Therefore, it is crucial for the new power system to meet traditional functionality while also supporting grid stability. TBEA New Energy's grid-forming string energy storage system addresses four major challenges: voltage stability, frequency stability, power quality control, and decoupling of control systems.
The showcased grid-forming string energy storage system employs a layered intelligent control architecture, supporting voltage regulation, primary frequency modulation, black start, and other full-scene grid support capabilities. Its four main advantages include strong support, extreme stability, high safety, and low cost.
TBEA New Energy's independently developed solution has quickly gained user trust through its efficient, stable product performance and intelligent service guarantee system, achieving global mass application. Their smart photovoltaic system solution reduces the levelized cost of electricity, covering all scenarios. Constructed around the TS330KTL-HV-C1 string inverter, this new smart photovoltaic generation system has attracted significant attention. The solution utilizes adaptive algorithms and grid-forming technology to automatically match grid impedance, ensuring stable operation even in weak grid environments and accommodating complex scenarios such as deserts and plateaus. This product boasts a maximum conversion efficiency of 99.04% and is fully compatible with various types of components. With excellent characteristics such as safety, reliability, efficient generation, and intelligent operation, it provides customers with a more efficient, intelligent, reliable, and high-return photovoltaic system.
Traditional power stations require separate installations for inverters and step-up transformers, resulting in numerous devices, complex wiring, significant space requirements, and lengthy construction times. In response, TBEA New Energy has launched a 4.4MW centralized inverter and step-up integrated machine solution, combining both elements into one. This adaptation for large-scale photovoltaic arrays reduces initial investments and utilizes TBEA New Energy's self-developed amorphous alloy transformer, which decreases no-load losses by 67%, saving nearly ten thousand yuan annually. This solution has already been applied on a large scale in the Tengger Huadian 1GW photovoltaic project.
The commercial and industrial intelligent energy storage system solution is designed to be safe and flexible, restructuring commercial value. Recognizing the high electricity costs and strong fluctuations in commercial scenarios, TBEA New Energy introduced the TE-125kW/261kWh-2h commercial energy storage integrated cabinet solution, characterized by safety, economic efficiency, intelligent flexibility, and extreme protection.
This solution, through a modular energy storage system configuration, is suitable for all operational scenarios in commercial energy storage. Its modular design adapts to factories and parks, allowing for the storage of low-cost electricity during the day and discharging during peak hours to capitalize on price differences while providing automatic power supply during outages, eliminating the need for diesel generators. It can also connect rooftop photovoltaic and storage devices into a "virtual power plant," selling electricity to the grid or participating in peak shaving for higher profits and more flexible electricity usage. For instance, a 500kW/1044kWh project in an industrial park in Wenzhou, Zhejiang, achieved a 35% reduction in electricity costs through a peak and valley pricing strategy.
Addressing electricity quality issues, TBEA New Energy introduced a dynamic coordination solution to safeguard the stability of high-proportion renewable energy grids. This smart reactive power compensation system is specialized for wind and solar power, working in tandem with energy storage devices to enhance power quality and system stability. Through their proprietary SVG cluster control technology, they achieve millisecond-level precise adjustment of reactive power in renewable energy stations, aiding in the construction of a highly resilient new power system.
TBEA New Energy's reactive power management solutions have obtained multiple patents and have been deployed on a large scale in areas with high penetration of renewable energy in Northwest China, supporting the safe operation of power grids. For instance, in the off-grid energy storage project in the Red Sea of Saudi Arabia, ten SVG devices operate independently using Droop strategy to stabilize the 110kV grid, enhancing power quality. After the project was commissioned, the island grid's power factor improved to 0.98, effectively suppressing load shocks and voltage fluctuations.
