Targeting 1000 Charging Stations, Geely Launches New Electric Vehicle Battery Recycling Network

Targeting

With a target of 1000 charging stations, the electric vehicle recovery network of Shenzhen** Bus Group (300014.SZ) is set to go live soon. This initiative is part of a larger plan to enhance the efficiency of electric vehicle charging and recovery systems.

The company is scheduled to officially launch its electric vehicle recovery network in June this year, with a significant rollout expected by May 13, 2025. As of now, the network has already established 246 stations, with 159 located domestically and 87 abroad, including in regions such as North America, Europe, and various other countries.

This initiative is a collaboration between Shenzhen Bus Group and other local enterprises, aimed at promoting the recovery of second-life batteries and other types of electric batteries. The goal is to create a comprehensive recycling ecosystem that is efficient and environmentally friendly.

According to the latest reports, the company’s charging stations are designed to accommodate a range of battery types, including those from electric buses and passenger vehicles. The network will not only focus on the recovery of electric vehicle batteries but also enhance the overall sustainability of the company’s operations.

By the end of this year, it is projected that the total number of charging points will reach 1000, serving various electric vehicle models across the country. The company aims to improve its operational efficiency and reduce waste through these initiatives. The focus will be on recycling lithium-ion, nickel, and cobalt batteries, which account for a significant portion of the electric vehicle battery market.

The Shenzhen Bus Group’s electric vehicle recovery network is expected to set a benchmark for future projects across the industry, especially with the increasing demand for sustainable energy solutions. The company has committed to ensuring that the recycling process is not only effective but also compliant with the highest environmental standards.

As electric vehicles continue to gain popularity, the need for efficient battery recycling systems becomes crucial. The Shenzhen Bus Group is at the forefront of this transition, and its efforts are expected to have a lasting impact on the electric vehicle ecosystem.
