T-robotics, a company specializing in industrial robots, announced on the 25th that it will unveil its next-generation humanoid robot at the “Automation World 2026,” which opens on the 4th. Automation World is the largest exhibition in Korea focused on smart factories and industrial automation, attracting significant visits from major manufacturing companies and global buyers.

The humanoid robot being showcased combines ultra-precision hardware technology with advanced artificial intelligence (AI), creating a physically-based AI robot platform designed for plug-and-play solutions that can be immediately deployed in industrial settings. The company emphasized that this product is not merely a demonstration robot; it has been specifically designed for integration into production lines for semiconductors, displays, and more.

The robot features a lower drive section that utilizes an ultra-precision autonomous mobile robot (AMR) platform, minimizing errors during operation in industrial environments. It can integrate with most robots within a factory through existing fleet management systems (FMS). The upper body includes waist and knee joint drives, along with a rotating torso, to facilitate collaboration with other robots. Its hands can be replaced with various configurations, including a three-finger (3-Finger) and a two-finger (2-Finger) structure, similar to those found in the Atlas robot.

By leveraging AI for engineering transformations, the robot reduces additional learning costs. It aims to create an intuitive control environment based on remote and virtual reality (VR) education, allowing even non-experts to learn operations easily. Through imitation learning, it can quickly accumulate data for skilled work.

The robot employs a robot foundation model (RFM) to implement zero-shot learning (ZSL) technology, enabling it to recognize and control new objects immediately, even without prior training. Currently, it can handle a payload of 3 kilograms, but the company plans to enhance this capacity to 20–30 kilograms through further development. Given that existing industrial robots are more efficient at handling high-weight tasks, the humanoid robot is intended to operate alongside humans in manufacturing environments.

A company representative stated, “Our goal is to develop humanoid robots that lead immediate changes in industrial settings through the combination of ultra-precision hardware and intelligent AI. After the exhibition, we will directly integrate this robot into our manufacturing processes for testing and continue to accumulate empirical data to progressively advance commercialization.” They further added, “The humanoid robot will evolve into a platform responsible for multifunctional task assistance within smart factories. We plan to expand our business by integrating it with existing AMRs and vacuum robots in a comprehensive automation solution.”
