Recently, the National Energy Administration, along with four other departments, released a guiding document titled “Recommendations for High-Quality Development of Energy Storage Technology”. This document outlines the strategic goals to establish a robust energy storage system based on lithium-ion technology by 2025, aiming to improve safety and performance.

Under this policy framework, the green transition in energy storage has been prioritized. As a prominent player in the energy sector, Everlasting Energy (600157.SH) is focusing on lithium-ion battery technology to enhance its production chain efficiency, leveraging a “Resource + Technology + Project” model to address challenges in energy safety and carbon emissions reduction.

The lithium-ion battery storage system aims to achieve high safety standards and long operational lifespans. As part of the energy sector’s transition to green practices, Everlasting Energy is committed to developing a sustainable energy solution that promotes efficiency and reduces carbon footprints.

By September 2025, the project is expected to deliver significant results: achieving a cumulative electricity output of 294 million kilowatt-hours and completing 186 cycles of electricity discharge, with a total discharge volume of over 76 million kilowatt-hours. This initiative is designed to optimize energy costs and improve operational efficiency, supporting the sustainable development of energy resources.

The project also involves the self-generated 32kW lithium-ion battery system, which has already received national-level certification by the China Electric Power Research Institute as of April 2024, and is anticipated to reach full operational status by September 2025.

“This project is not just a viable option; it is a necessity,” stated a representative from Everlasting Energy, emphasizing the urgent need to transition to new energy resources in alignment with national energy goals.
