Sustainable Energy Development: China’s Strategy for Renewable Resources Expansion

Sustainable

One Degree can be considered a potential new energy source, highlighting the trend towards sustainable energy solutions. The latest reports indicate significant developments in this domain.

China’s National Energy Administration recently announced the official launch of the Energy Development Plan, which focuses on the progress and challenges in the energy sector.

According to the report, the new energy capacity is projected to increase by 18.7% compared to last year, with plans to construct around 540 new charging stations and promote approximately 2.4 million electric vehicles by 2024.

The National Energy Administration has indicated that the demand for energy will continue to rise, necessitating robust measures to ensure sustainable energy supply and to maintain stable prices in the market.

By 2025, it is expected that the new energy capacity will reach 76.75 million kilowatts, representing a 21% increase from the previous year and indicating rapid development in the sector.

Wind energy generation is anticipated to surpass that of traditional coal-fired power, achieving 8,160 billion kilowatt-hours by 2024, which is an 18.7% increase compared to last year.

Currently, China’s capacity for renewable energy generation exceeds 1.2 trillion kilowatt-hours, reflecting the country’s commitment to expanding its renewable energy infrastructure.

The National Energy Administration’s plans aim to enhance the production of renewable energy and improve energy efficiency across various sectors. By 2024, renewable energy production is set to account for 4.5% of total energy generation in the country.

Moreover, significant investments will be directed towards supporting the development of fourth-generation nuclear technology, expanding the energy supply chain, and optimizing the integration of various energy sources.

As a result, it is expected that the overall energy consumption will increase significantly, with the goal of ensuring energy security while promoting sustainable practices.

In 2024, the goal is to construct around 600 hydrogen production facilities, which will support the electric vehicle market and enhance the infrastructure for renewable energy.

Overall, the National Energy Administration’s strategic initiatives reflect a strong commitment to advancing renewable energy technologies and ensuring the development of a sustainable energy future.
