### Key Innovations of PowerTitan 3.0: Delivering Multi-Dimensional Value
The PowerTitan 3.0 ESS Platform boasts an integrated modular library of scenario-based functions. All functional modules are standardized and can be easily deployed based on specific scenario requirements without the need for redesign. This single platform allows for various combinations to suit diverse global applications and breaks free from the limitations of fixed container sizes.
Initially available in three versions—10ft Flex (capacity 3.45MWh), 20ft Class (capacity 6.9MWh), and 30ft Plus (capacity 12.5MWh)—the system supports energy durations ranging from 2 to 12 hours. It operates reliably in extreme environments, withstanding temperatures from -40°C to +55°C (-40°F to +131°F) and altitudes up to 5,000 meters (16,404 feet) without derating.
### Redefining Battery Cells: A 684Ah Breakthrough
For projects requiring high capacity and cost efficiency, the PowerTitan 3.0 Plus version features a powerful 684Ah stacking large battery cell. This technology delivers up to 12.5MW/50MWh per AC block, establishing itself as the world’s leader in power density for battery energy storage systems (BESS) with over 500kWh per square meter. The innovative back-to-back installation with 20mm spacing allows for a more compact equipment layout.
When applied to a 1 GWh-scale project, this system design reduces land use by 45% and cabling by 10%, significantly lowering capital expenditures (CAPEX). The 684Ah stacking battery cell, the first of its kind to be mass-produced, features an energy density of 448Wh per liter with a cycle life exceeding 15,000 cycles. To ensure safety, it incorporates pioneering Thermo-Electric Separation technology that resets cell vents and internal pack exhaust channels, preventing high-temperature gases from damaging battery components and mitigating the risk of thermal runaway.
### Industry-First Large-Scale Application of Fully Liquid-Cooled SiC PCS
The PowerTitan 3.0 utilizes the industry’s first large-scale application of a fully liquid-cooled Silicon Carbide Power Conversion System (SiC PCS), delivering a power capacity of 450kW per unit. It achieves an impressive maximum efficiency of 99.3% and a system round-trip efficiency (RTE) of 93.5%, allowing for full-power operation even in extreme temperatures of 55°C. This makes it particularly suitable for high-temperature regions.
### Rapid Deployment and Intelligent Operation & Maintenance
The PowerTitan 3.0 is designed for rapid deployment, featuring pre-installed, pre-debugged, block-level pre-integration and intelligent parameter configuration at the factory. This allows for one-click automated configuration and inspection on-site, reducing deployment time by 17 days for a 1 GWh project.
Additionally, it integrates intelligent functions such as Sungrow’s PowerBidder—an Electricity Market Trading System aimed at minimizing risks and maximizing profits from electricity trading operations. Another notable feature is the PowerDoctor Operation & Maintenance (O&M) tool, which can predict over 30 fault types with more than 99% diagnostic accuracy and provides guided repairs, enabling proactive maintenance.
### Built-in Grid-Forming Capabilities
The PowerTitan 3.0 is equipped with Sungrow’s Stem-Cell Grid-Forming Tech 2.0, which anticipates grid disturbances before they escalate, ensuring prompt energy storage response. This system delivers synchronous renewables and energy storage grid-forming capabilities, supports GW-scale black start, features seamless mode switching between grid-following and grid-forming, and adapts to wide-range SCR changes (1-40). It also enables rapid response times of 20 milliseconds and can handle 90° symmetrical and asymmetrical phase angle jumps.
With these advanced functions, the PowerTitan 3.0 supports swift grid recovery, maximizes ancillary service revenue, and ensures reliability across all grid scenarios, including generation, transmission, microgrids, and consumption endpoints.
