On September 29, the new energy sector demonstrated strong performance, with significant gains in battery-related concepts. As of 10:49 AM, the New Energy Vehicle ETF (515030) rose by 4.24%. Notable stock performances included Hunan Youneng, which increased by over 15%, TianNai Technology, which gained more than 12%, and Yiwei Lithium Energy, which saw an increase of over 10%. Additionally, Tianci Materials and Dongfeng Motor both hit their daily price limits.

According to a report from the Ministry of Commerce, to promote the healthy development of the new energy vehicle trade, regulations will be implemented starting January 1, 2026, requiring export licenses for pure electric passenger vehicles, based on relevant provisions of the Foreign Trade Law of the People’s Republic of China.

According to Caitong Securities, since 2025, breakthroughs in solid-state battery technology have continued, with several automotive companies planning to begin equipping their vehicles with full solid-state batteries around 2027. The industrialization process in this sector is accelerating. With the gradual establishment of pilot production lines and the restart of lithium battery expansion cycles, the fundamentals for equipment companies are expected to improve continuously. The market remains optimistic about the resonance between the industrial cycle and technological advancements.

The New Energy Vehicle ETF (515030) is currently the largest themed ETF for new energy vehicles in the market. It is linked to two funds (013013/013014) that track the CSI New Energy Vehicle Index (399976), selecting stocks of publicly traded companies involved in lithium batteries, charging stations, and new energy vehicles. Notably, lithium batteries account for a substantial 67%% of the ETF’s weight in popular concepts tracked by Wind.
