Deepening the Integration of Industry, Academia, and Research for Promoting Green Circulation

On September 27, Professor Zhang Yingjie, former Party Secretary of Kunming University of Science and Technology and Director of the National and Local Joint Engineering Research Center for Lithium-Ion Batteries and Material Preparation Technology, led a research team to visit Dingli Technology for an exchange and inspection. The meeting was attended by Dr. Dai Yu, Chairman of Dingli Technology, along with technical research and development personnel.

Both parties engaged in an in-depth discussion on cutting-edge technologies, industrial demands, and future cooperation in the fields of new energy materials and resource recycling.

The National and Local Joint Engineering Research Center for Lithium-Ion Batteries and Material Preparation Technology was established in 2016 with approval from the National Development and Reform Commission. Under the leadership of Professor Zhang, the center focuses on major national energy and environmental protection needs, dedicating itself to interdisciplinary research in electrochemical technology, energy, materials, and environmental protection. It has developed three specialized areas: electrochemical energy, electrochemical protection, and electrochemical environmental protection, thereby promoting pollution reduction and carbon reduction while achieving a comprehensive development from basic research to engineering applications.

Professor Zhang’s team shared the latest research advancements in cathode materials, waste battery and photovoltaic recycling, and anode materials, showcasing their strong research capabilities and technological accumulation.

The Dingli Technology team provided a detailed introduction to the company’s technological breakthroughs and engineering achievements in areas such as waste lithium battery recycling, efficient processing of retired photovoltaic components, and cathode material restoration. Leveraging core thermal equipment technologies, the company has overcome key challenges in organic waste continuous pyrolysis, with relevant equipment already applied in multiple new energy battery recycling enterprises.

Looking ahead, both parties plan to leverage their respective strengths to conduct in-depth collaboration in the fields of waste lithium battery recycling, photovoltaic component recovery, and high-value utilization of natural graphite. They aim to jointly construct a collaborative innovation system integrating technology, equipment, and industry.

Additionally, they will actively promote talent cultivation and industry-university cooperation to facilitate the alignment of scientific and technological resources with industrial demands, contributing to the high-quality development of new energy materials and the green circular economy.
