On May 21, 2025, the Ministry of Commerce announced the release of a document titled “Deepening the National Level Economic Regulation Technology Development Zone Reform Plan to Enhance the Quality of Development Work.” This initiative aims to facilitate the development of the national economic development zone’s electric power market by engaging in green certificate trading, thereby improving the efficiency of green electricity production.
Support for enterprises will include carbon emissions reduction calculations and product carbon footprint management systems, promoting the use of green certificates in carbon emissions calculations and management.
The National Economic Development Zone aims to establish a low-carbon pilot zone, working towards building a green economic service supply chain and enhancing the development of green industries.
