State Grid Hosts Key Work Seminar for Q2 2025 to Enhance Development Strategies

The State Grid Corporation of China hosted a seminar on key work for the second quarter of 2025 from April 18 to 19 in Beijing. The aim was to strengthen strategic guidance, enhance practical responsibility, and promote the high-quality development of the State Grid. The seminar was attended by Chairman and Party Secretary Zhang Zhigang, who delivered a speech, and General Manager and Deputy Party Secretary Pang Xiaogang, who hosted the event and gave a special address. Other attendees included external directors Hu Aimin and Fan Xiaxia, along with various executives and members of the company’s Party leadership.

The discussions focused on enriching and enhancing the company's strategic framework, ensuring grid safety, accelerating grid construction, deepening technological innovation, improving quality and efficiency, advancing state-owned enterprise reforms, constructing a unified electricity market, and facilitating the integrated high-quality development of energy sources, networks, loads, and storage. The seminar also emphasized the importance of implementing the spirit of the Central Committee's eight-point regulation.

Key tasks for the second quarter were outlined as follows:

    <li>Fully support and guarantee the overall development of the economy and society by ensuring power supply, expanding investment, stabilizing operations, and improving services. It is crucial to take on the primary responsibility for power supply, actively increase effective investment, and enhance service quality.</li>
    <li>Better coordinate development and safety, using high-quality development to solve problems and ensuring high-level safety for quality growth. Focus on the safety of large power grids, production safety, and risk prevention in operations, while accelerating grid construction to serve the high-quality development of new energy.</li>
    <li>Comprehensively deepen reform and innovation to increase vitality and momentum, ensuring tasks are advanced in an orderly manner and completed on time with quality. The goal is to achieve high-quality completion of state-owned enterprise reforms and promote the establishment of a nationally unified electricity market.</li>
    <li>Strengthen the Party's construction to lead high-quality development. This includes conducting thorough education on the spirit of the Central Committee's eight-point regulation, implementing high-quality Party construction projects, and continuously advancing strict governance of the Party.</li>
</ol>

Participants included academicians from the company's system, assistants, chief engineers, heads of various departments, and leaders from relevant organizations. The seminar aimed to clarify work ideas, unify understanding, and specify tasks.
