The SNEC PV+ 18th (2025) International Solar Photovoltaic and Smart Energy Conference & Exhibition will take place in Shanghai from June 10 to 13, 2025. This event, known as SNEC PV+ 2025 International Photovoltaic Conference, will be hosted at the National Exhibition and Convention Center and the Shanghai InterContinental Hotel.

Over the past 18 years, the SNEC PV+ Solar Exhibition has evolved alongside the fluctuations of the global photovoltaic industry. It started with an area of 15,000 square meters in its inaugural year of 2007 and is projected to expand to 380,000 square meters in 2025, featuring over 3,000 exhibiting companies. Nearly 30% of these exhibitors will be international, welcoming more than 500,000 professional visitors from over 90 countries and regions. The exhibition has established itself as a platform for international cooperation and exchange in a professional and large-scale format.

The annual SNEC PV+ International Photovoltaic Conference has become a benchmark for the development trends in the global photovoltaic and energy storage industries, covering topics such as technological routes, equipment manufacturing, market positioning, and application models. This year's event will showcase extensive exhibition spaces with hundreds of booths and feature significant industry players like SunPower, Huawei Digital Energy, GCL-Poly Energy, TCL Zhonghuan, and Chint Group.

The conference will focus on cutting-edge technologies, including various high-efficiency battery technologies such as Heterojunction, TOPCon, perovskite, and bifacial modules. It will also cover floating solar systems, distributed photovoltaics, Building-Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV), smart operation and maintenance of power plants, energy storage technologies, and photovoltaic-storage integration solutions. The aim is to explore ways to enhance product quality while effectively reducing costs, improving conversion efficiency, and promoting healthy competition and development within the industry.

Additionally, there will be high-level forums discussing market trends, cooperative development strategies, national policy directions, new materials, energy internet, AI in energy, investment and financing, mergers and acquisitions, compliance, and ESG-related topics.

According to the SNEC Organizing Committee, the conference will feature numerous distinguished guests, including Erik Solheim, former UN Deputy Secretary-General and Executive Director of the UN Environment Programme, and Abang Johari Openg, Chief Minister of Sarawak, Malaysia, who will deliver keynote speeches. Other notable speakers include Academicians from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and renowned professors from international institutions such as Martin Green from the University of New South Wales, Eicke R. Weber from the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems, and many others.

The SNEC PV+ 2025 International Photovoltaic Conference will also attract diverse delegations from various governments and enterprises, including representatives from the UN Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and joint delegations from the Sarawak State Government and Electric Company of Malaysia. Participants will include representatives from major economies such as Germany, France, Spain, Italy, the United States, Japan, South Korea, as well as emerging markets in the Middle East and Southeast Asia.

To assist exhibitors in expanding their markets and enhancing efficiency, the SNEC Organizing Committee will launch new platforms and features, including a customized electronic ticketing system for exhibitors and a pre-exhibition interaction service platform for exhibitors and visitors. They will also initiate the compilation of a "New Energy Product Promotion Directory," which will prioritize the inclusion of advanced products from SNEC exhibitors for major projects, facilitating their promotion to state-owned enterprises and entry into global markets.

During the exhibition, activities will include SNEC Passport checks and lotteries, a "Top Ten Highlights" selection for exhibitors, professional media interviews, leader interviews, and booth visits. The Asian Photovoltaic and Energy Storage Awards (APVIA Awards) will also be presented, alongside the release of the "Top 100 Global Renewable Energy ESG Rankings" and the "Top 10 Global Renewable Energy Brands."

Moreover, the SNEC Organizing Committee will host the SNEC ES+ 10th (2025) International Energy Storage and Battery Technology Conference & Exhibition and the SNEC H2+ 8th (2025) International Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technology and Application Conference & Exhibition from October 9 to 12, 2025, at the Kerry Hotel in Pudong and the Shanghai New International Expo Center. These events will focus on advancing the industrial ecosystems and value chains of "solar, storage, charging, computing, testing, cloud" and "solar, storage, charging, hydrogen, ammonia, and alcohol," encompassing comprehensive technological research and integration across the industry to promote high-quality development in the energy storage and hydrogen sectors, thus contributing to achieving China's dual carbon strategy goals.
