Singapore International Energy Week 2025: “Envisioning the Future of Energy, Building Today’s Systems”
Singapore, April 16, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — The Energy Market Authority (EMA) of Singapore has announced that the theme for the 18th Singapore International Energy Week (SIEW) will be “Envisioning the Future of Energy, Building Today’s Systems.” This event is scheduled to take place from October 27 to 31 in Singapore, gathering global energy leaders to discuss the challenges and opportunities within the rapidly evolving energy sector.
Envisioning the Future of Energy, Building Today’s Systems
As technological advancements and economic transformations continue, today’s energy systems are evolving at a rapid pace. Countries face ongoing challenges related to market fluctuations, technological disruptions, and policy adjustments, with energy security and resilience remaining top priorities. How can the global energy community deepen cooperation, drive energy transitions, and construct a secure, resilient, and flexible energy system for the future? There is an urgent need to intensify efforts in assessing and developing low-carbon energy pathways, including hydrogen, carbon capture, utilization and storage, nuclear energy, geothermal energy, and biogas.
“While planning for the future, building a new energy system is equally urgent. How can we better promote global and regional cooperation, catalyze innovation, and stimulate the necessary investments to transform our energy landscape? On the occasion of Singapore’s 60th National Day, we must demonstrate our commitment to building a robust energy system that benefits future generations,” said Mr. Pan Guoqiang, Director of the Energy Market Authority.
