Singapore International Energy Week 2025 Focuses on “Envisioning the Energy Future, Building Today’s System”
Singapore, April 16, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — The Energy Market Authority (EMA) of Singapore has announced that the theme for the 18th Singapore International Energy Week (SIEW) will be “Envisioning the Energy Future, Building Today’s System.” This event is set to take place from October 27 to 31, 2025, and will bring together global energy leaders to discuss the challenges and opportunities in the rapidly evolving energy sector.
Envisioning the Energy Future, Building Today’s System
As technology advances and economies transform, today’s energy systems are continuing to evolve rapidly. Countries prioritize energy security and resilience while navigating fluctuations in energy markets, technological disruptions, and policy adjustments. How can the global energy community deepen cooperation to promote energy transitions and build a future energy system that is secure, resilient, and flexible? There is an urgent need to assess and develop low-carbon energy pathways, such as hydrogen, carbon capture, utilization and storage, nuclear energy, geothermal energy, and biomethane, to support economic growth and improve living standards while mitigating climate change.

How can we better facilitate global and regional cooperation, initiate innovation, and catalyze the investments needed to transform our energy landscape? As we celebrate Singapore’s 60th anniversary, we must demonstrate our commitment to building a robust energy system that benefits future generations,” said Mr. Pan Guoqiang, Director of the Energy Market Authority.
Key Initiatives and Activities of SIEW 2025
SIEW 2025 will introduce a series of new initiatives to commemorate Singapore’s 60th anniversary of independence. The SG60@SIEW Energy Exhibition will showcase Singapore’s energy vision for 2065 and focus on how current measures and decisions can shape Singapore’s energy ecosystem.
The Energy Market Authority will also establish the SIEW Academy, bringing together global energy thought leaders to promote the exchange of energy innovations and explore new pathways for Asia’s energy future.
The week-long SIEW activities will kick off with the SIEW Summit, followed by the Singapore-International Energy Agency (IEA) Forum, the Singapore-International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) High-Level Forum, as well as SIEW Energy Insights, SIEW TechTable sessions, and the SIEW Thinktank Roundtable. Concurrently, a series of related events will take place, including the Asia Clean Energy Summit, Asia Carbon Summit, Asian Downstream Summit, Asian Refining Technology Conference, Ammonia and Carbon Capture Asia Conference, and the Asia Gas Market Conference.
The SP Group will host the flagship event of the East Asia and West Pacific Electric Power Supply Industry Association during SIEW 2025, marking the 25th Asia-Pacific Power Conference.
