Sineng Electric has successfully delivered a customized energy storage solution for a 75MW/300MWh Vanadium Redox Flow Battery (VRFB) project located in Xinjiang, China. This project has been operating reliably since its commissioning.
The initiative demonstrates the effective integration of energy storage systems, with the goal of enhancing grid stability and facilitating the deployment of renewable energy in challenging environments. Utilizing VRFB technology, which is renowned for its scalability, longevity, and safety, the project addresses the unique demands of energy storage. Sineng Electric provided a tailored energy storage solution that includes its 1375kW central Power Conversion System (PCS).
This PCS is specifically designed to function across a wide DC voltage range of 700–1500V at rated power, ensuring high efficiency, stability, and reliability, even in extreme conditions such as high altitudes and severe cold typical of the region. The energy storage power station is designed for a 4-hour duration, playing a crucial role in peak shaving and frequency regulation. This capability helps mitigate the effects of demand spikes and ensures a continuous power supply.
Moreover, the project supports the seamless integration of intermittent renewable energy sources, significantly contributing to the region’s energy transition by providing stable and dispatchable power. Sineng Electric’s diverse portfolio of energy storage solutions reflects its superior adaptability and resilience across various battery technologies and applications. Whether utilizing lithium-ion, sodium-ion, vanadium redox flow batteries, or other types, Sineng Electric consistently offers customized solutions that address the evolving energy needs of its clients while advancing large-scale decarbonization efforts.
