Accelerating Breakthroughs and Advancing Standards | The key national standard “Technical Requirements for the Disposal of Photovoltaic Modules,” led by Shuifa Xinye Energy Group, successfully passed expert review.
Recently, the review meeting for the key national standard “Technical Requirements for the Disposal of Photovoltaic Modules” was successfully held in Zhuhai, organized by Shuifa Xinye Energy Group. The meeting invited all members of the Solar Photovoltaic Glass Sub-Technical Committee of the National Standardization Technical Committee for Building Glass (SAC/TC 255/SC 1) to serve as expert reviewers. Zhang Ling, Deputy General Manager of the Group’s Technology Information Department, reported on the standard’s preparation and relevant technical details.
The review group conducted a thorough examination of the standard’s content, word by word. After inquiries and discussions, the review group unanimously agreed that this standard establishes the disposal determination process, technical conditions, and testing methods for building photovoltaic modules, providing essential technical support for the disposal of these modules. The standard achieves a level of advancement comparable to domestic standards.
The “Technical Requirements for the Disposal of Photovoltaic Modules” is the fourth standard regarding the recycling of photovoltaic modules, following the international standard ISO/TS 21480:2021 “General Technical Requirements for the Recycling of Building Glass-Photovoltaic Building Integrated Components,” the national standard GB/T 39753-2021 “General Technical Requirements for the Recycling and Reuse of Photovoltaic Modules,” and the group standard T/CSTM 00466-2022 “Guidelines for the Recyclability Design of Photovoltaic Systems.” The formulation and implementation of this standard will ensure the timely retirement of defective photovoltaic modules while maximizing their energy generation value, closely linking the energy production phase of photovoltaic modules with the recycling and reuse phase, paving a path for the sustainable development of the photovoltaic recycling industry.
