Breakthrough and Advancement: Shuidafengye Energy Successfully Passes Expert Review for Key National Standard
On April 15, 2025, a review meeting for the key national standard titled “Technical Requirements for the Disposal of Photovoltaic Modules”, led by Shuidafengye Energy Group, was successfully held in Zhuhai. The meeting invited all members of the Solar Photovoltaic Glass Sub-Technical Committee of the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Building Glass (SAC/TC 255/SC 1) to serve as review experts.
During the meeting, Zhang Ling, the Deputy General Manager of the Group’s Technology Information Department, reported on the standard development process and relevant technical content. The review team conducted a detailed examination of the standard’s contents. After inquiries and discussions, the review team unanimously agreed that the standard establishes a disposal determination process, technical conditions, and testing methods for building photovoltaic modules, providing important technical support for the disposal of these modules and achieving an overall advanced level domestically.
The “Technical Requirements for the Disposal of Photovoltaic Modules” is the fourth standard concerning the recycling of photovoltaic modules compiled by Shuidafengye Energy, following the international standard ISO/TS 21480:2021 on “Building Glass – General Technical Requirements for Photovoltaic Building Integrated Components Recycling,” the national standard GB/T 39753-2021 on “General Technical Requirements for the Recycling and Reuse of Photovoltaic Modules,” and the group standard T/CSTM 00466-2022 on “Guidelines for the Recyclability Design of Photovoltaic Systems.”
The formulation and implementation of this standard will ensure the timely retirement of defective photovoltaic modules while maximizing their power generation value. It establishes a close connection between the operational phase of photovoltaic modules and the recycling and reuse phase, paving the way for a healthy development of the photovoltaic recycling industry.
